Rural Water Supply Network (RWSN) - Sustainable groundwater development for rural water supplies is one of the RWSN Themes.

Sustainable Sanitation Alliance (SuSanA) - SuSanA is an informal network of partner organizations who share a common vision on sustainable sanitation. SuSanA came into existence in early 2007 and works as a coordination platform, working platform, sounding board, contributor to policy dialogue on sustainable sanitation and as a “catalyst” among members and partner organizations.

SustainableWASH.org - In 2010, over 40 organizations gathered at the first Sustainability Forum to discuss sustainable water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) services at scale. The following year, nearly 100 stakeholders from over 50 organizations came together to develop a common set of sustainability principles, which became the WASH Sustainability Charter. 

UN WASH and Environmental Sustainability Framing Paper - This framing paper addresses the crucial linkages between WASH and environmental sustainability. 
 
International H2O Collaboration - The USAID-Rotary International H2O Collaboration was launched in March 2009, and the first round of pilot projects were finalized in 2012 in the Dominican Republic, Ghana, and the Philippines. The collaboration developed a Sustainability Index Tool, which focuses on four critical areas that are known to be importance to the long-term sustainability of WASH interventions: institutional, management, financial, and technical factors.
 
Water Services That Last – Triple-S (Sustainable Services at Scale) is a six-year, multi-country learning initiative to improve water supply to the rural poor. It is led by the IRC International Water and Sanitation Centre. The initiative is currently operating in Ghana and Uganda. Lessons learned from work in countries feeds up to the international level where Triple-S is promoting a re-appraisal of how development assistance to the rural water supply sector is designed and implemented.
